About Me:
I’m Dr Lisa Chaffey, an experienced coach, occupational therapist, and Paralympian passionate about helping people with disabilities reach their full potential. My unique combination of lived experience, professional expertise, and coaching methodologies allows me to create meaningful change for individuals and organisations.
As a distinguished silver medal-winning Paralympian, I competed with the Australian women's wheelchair basketball team in two world championships and the Athens Paralympics. Beyond my athletic achievements, I have dedicated my life to advancing the world of wheelchair basketball as an international technical official and instructor. I served a significant four-year term as the Oceania representative on the Asia Oceania Executive of the International Wheelchair Basketball Federation and held a brief but impactful position on the Victoria 2026 Commonwealth Organising Committee board. In addition to my sports endeavours, I am a seasoned occupational therapist with a profound commitment to international disability programs, including consulting for the World Health Organization. My purpose is to leverage my extensive expertise in disability advocacy, community development, occupational therapy, and sports management to foster greater inclusion in both the sporting world and the business arena.
